Make crypto kind ❤️
Hiiii, let’s make crypto fun, and kind
Re: Make crypto kind ❤️
I couldn't agree more
Within the Ethereum community, we're explicit about our values toward decentralizing power and preserving privacy, but if we don't also embody the value of kindness, we're not going to have the positive impact that we think. We'll attract the wrong types of people, and they'll build stuff we didn't intend. We don't want ponzi schemes, pumps and dumps, and so on. When we're building something that's truly censorship resistant, it comes with a responsibility to actively and explicitly imbue that with positive values at the social layer. Just look at what happened with pump.fun; what if that frontend and video streaming was fully decentralized and no one could shut it down? It's not the world we're trying to build
So I'd argue we should be as explicit and enforcing of the value of kindness in our community as we are of the values of decentralization and privacy, because they go together. And just like we call out teams and projects which aren't decentralizing, we should call out people when they aren't being kind and respectful. That's just my two cents, would love to hear others' thoughts
